Well hello, from Virginia!

Kaleb Wyse standing in front of orange to yellow ombre background wearing yellow sweater.

This holiday week, I’m on my annual Thanksgiving trip to Virginia. My sister’s house is full, and we’re preparing regular meals while planning for the main meal on Thursday. Thanksgiving can be quite stressful, but this is your year to not stress. Instead, make it easy on yourself. I’m sure many of your recipes have already been planned out, but below are many of the options I have on my website if you’re still searching for something specific.

One of my favorite things we do yearly is a tradition my sister began five years ago. We take a piece of paper, notate the current year, and then write down everything we’re thankful for. We go around the table and say them out loud to one another. We also look over previous years to see the changes and usually think of more we should have remembered to write down! Maybe this will be something you want to try this year with your loved ones, and if you do something different, I’d love to hear what it is!

Without further ado, let’s talk about all things Thanksgiving food!

Turkey

When it comes to turkey, I’m preparing my orange spiced turkey and will be dry-brining my turkey for 24-36 hours.

Bread

Bread is an excellent way to get the last remnants of the meal off the plate!

Dessert

Leave room for dessert! When it comes to our family meal, I like to wait for about an hour or two so we can clean up and then enjoy dessert (with coffee, of course)!

As always, I hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
