Well hello, from Virginia!

This holiday week, I’m on my annual Thanksgiving trip to Virginia. My sister’s house is full, and we’re preparing regular meals while planning for the main meal on Thursday. Thanksgiving can be quite stressful, but this is your year to not stress. Instead, make it easy on yourself. I’m sure many of your recipes have already been planned out, but below are many of the options I have on my website if you’re still searching for something specific.
One of my favorite things we do yearly is a tradition my sister began five years ago. We take a piece of paper, notate the current year, and then write down everything we’re thankful for. We go around the table and say them out loud to one another. We also look over previous years to see the changes and usually think of more we should have remembered to write down! Maybe this will be something you want to try this year with your loved ones, and if you do something different, I’d love to hear what it is!
Without further ado, let’s talk about all things Thanksgiving food!

Turkey
When it comes to turkey, I’m preparing my orange spiced turkey and will be dry-brining my turkey for 24-36 hours.
- Classic dry-brine turkey
- Orange spiced turkey
- Turkey roulade with bacon and kale stuffing
- Citrus dry-brine turkey
- Don’t forget the cranberry marmalade
Side dishes
Sides are my favorite, but my advice is not to stress and make too many. Instead, choose a few and be done!

Salads
I always think a meal needs something fresh and bright, like these salads!
Bread
Bread is an excellent way to get the last remnants of the meal off the plate!
Dessert
Leave room for dessert! When it comes to our family meal, I like to wait for about an hour or two so we can clean up and then enjoy dessert (with coffee, of course)!
- Classic apple pie
- Pecan pie bars
- Pumpkin roll
- Chocolate bourbon pecan pie
- No-bake pumpkin pie cheesecake
- Pumpkin pie cookies
- Caramel apple pie
- No-bake pumpkin pie
- Simple pecan pie
- Classic pumpkin pie
As always, I hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
