The Comfort Food I Love
On my farm, I’ll frequently find myself in a situation where the day has flown by, and there’s no plan for dinner. This is especially true during the summer months when the garden is booming outdoors. But that doesn’t mean I want to compromise when it comes to delicious flavor, and these comfort food recipes are the answer.
These recipes are what I make when my day is busy, or when the weather turns cooler. Or, they’re the ones I turn to when I just want something that I know everyone at the table will eat (I’m looking at my niece on this one, who can be a bit of a picky eater). These are dinners that I keep coming back to time and again. They’re cozy soups, hearty casseroles, classic roasts, and simple skillet meals that feel like home.
If you’re not sure where to start, pick one section below and choose a recipe that fits your mood. There’s no way you can pick a bad one.
