Although we are still dealing with sub-zero temperatures in Iowa, I am starting to imagine The Farm getting ready for spring. The garden is always at the forefront of my spring planning agenda. Even when the snow blows past the farmhouse windows, I am scouring my gardening catalogs and preparing my orders. Many seedings and plants I buy at local greenhouses, but certain items I start from seed. If you want to start your own seeds, this is a quick how-to guide. Planting seeds is simple and extremely rewarding when watching them grow. All you need is a seedling tray, soil, and your seeds (and a sunny window, of course).
