Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp boiling water
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • 2 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  • Dissolve the instant coffee in water, and add vanilla, and set aside.
3 tbsp boiling water, 2 tbsp instant coffee, 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Whisk eggs with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add milk and cream, mixing to incorporate. Last, add the coffee and vanilla mixture to the milk mixture.
2 ½ cups milk, 1 cup granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, 2 ½ cups heavy cream
  • Pre-chill the mixture for 2-4 hours. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your ice cream freezer. Using my KitchenAid attachment, it takes approximately 20-30 minutes to achieve a nice soft-serve consistency. To achieve a better freeze, put directly into an airtight container after frozen and place in the freezer for 2-4 hours.

Do you have the coffee ice cream recipe that uses Jeni’s base versus this one with the eggs? Somehow I thought I watched your video on instagram making coffee ice cream but cannot find that one on this website.
