In my family, coffee ice cream is a family tradition. As coffee lovers, we devour this ice cream. But fear not – this is not just for those of us that are addicted to coffee. With notes of caramel and vanilla, this ice cream is for everyone!

Coffee Ice Cream
- 3 tbsp boiling water
- 2 tbsp instant coffee
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups milk
- 2 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- Dissolve the instant coffee in water and add vanilla and set aside. Whisk eggs with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add milk and cream, mixing to incorporate. Last, add coffee and vanilla mixture to the milk mixture.
- Pre-chill the mixture for 2-4 hours. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your ice cream freezer. Using my KitchenAid attachment, it takes approximately 20-30 minutes to achieve a nice soft-serve consistency. To achieve a better freeze, put directly into an airtight container after frozen and place in the freezer for 2-4 hours.
