Homemade pumpkin butter is super easy to make! Some pumpkin, honey and flavorful spices go together to create this delicious spread that can be used in so many ways!
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and place over medium heat.
Bring to simmer, making sure to keep watch and continue stirring. Let simmer over low to medium heat for 12-20 minutes. The butter will start to sputter and bubble as the pumpkin thickens and the moisture cooks out.
Once thickened slightly, push through food mill(affiliate link) (or conical strainer(affiliate link) used in canning) to remove any lumps. This step is optional but gives a smoother butter.
Let cool and store in the refrigerator for up to one month.
